Preparing for Your Procedure

1. Managing Your Medications To ensure the smoothest experience and minimize any bruising, we ask that you pause all non-essential supplements and medications—such as vitamins, aspirin, or hormone treatments—at least 2 weeks before your surgery. If you are currently managing conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart health, please let our consultants know right away. Your safety is our top priority, and we want to tailor your plan perfectly!

2. Your Health & Wellness Helping your body prepare is the best way to speed up your recovery. We recommend avoiding smoking and alcohol for at least 3 days before your visit. In the meantime, fueling up with nutritious foods like fresh fruits and vegetables will give your body the extra strength it needs to heal beautifully.

3. Surgery Day Comfort On the day of your appointment, we want you to be as relaxed as possible! Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes (a zip-up top is a great choice for easy changing). To keep everything clean and safe, please leave jewelry at home and arrive with a “fresh face”—free of makeup, nail polish, or contact lenses.

4. Fasting for Your Safety Most eye procedures use local anesthesia or gentle sedation. To ensure these work safely, please refrain from eating or drinking for 4–6 hours before your scheduled surgery time. We will confirm your specific fasting window during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect.

How to Prepare Before Surgery

1. You’re Never Alone: Post-Surgery Support From the moment you wake up, our friendly helper and translator will be right by your side. We’re here to provide gentle, attentive care while you rest at the clinic. To help your body heal and reduce swelling, we’ll serve you some comforting pumpkin porridge and juice (it works wonders!). If you have any allergies or simply aren’t a fan of pumpkin, just let us know. We’ll also handle the details, like organizing your medications and aftercare package, so you can focus entirely on resting.

2. Managing Swelling with Ease It is perfectly normal for swelling to peak during the first 2–3 days—you might even notice one side is a little puffier than the other, which is completely natural! The best way to stay ahead of it? Use your Glowin ice packs as often as you can. The more you ice, the more you’ll help your body bounce back.

3. Rest & Recovery Tips To get the best possible results, please finish your full course of prescribed medication and join us for all your scheduled follow-ups. While you’re healing, try to be extra gentle with yourself—avoid rubbing your eyes and try to sleep on your back to keep your face cozy and pressure-free.

4. Protecting Your Results To keep your healing on the fast track and protect your new look, please skip smoking and alcohol for at least 4 weeks. This gives your body the clean environment it needs to achieve the beautiful results you’re looking for!
